 * Jr. Network Engineer

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Jr. Network Engineer will be a part of the Network Design and Architecture team who will be responsible for contributing toward the design, architecture and level support of WAN, LAN, XP Servers, VPN, Network Security, Wireless, and Network management tools. This includes planning, specification, implementation, administration and maintenance of equipment services for all the above responsibilities in the corporate office and remote sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, architect and provide L4 Support of Cisco-based Routers, Switches, Gateways, Security Solutions, Wireless Solutions and Network Management Solutions across WAN/LAN.
• Design, architect and provide L4 Support for network security functions such as maintain MS Exchange 2000/2003/2007. Citrix SCQ Server.
• Provides recommendations on architectural changes and design enhancements to the infrastructure to improve reliably and performance, reduce cost, and anticipate Company growth and acquisition.
• Create / update policies, procedures, and documentation to adapt to new technologies and business requirements.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of company network standards and the overall local network environments.
• Plan and assist in the design and implementation of networking infrastructures (cabling, terminations, patch panels) related to data, voice and video communications.  
• Responsible for managing and maintaining the Wide Area and Local Area Network’s proper capacity and scalability.
• Responsible for configuring and maintaining a proactive Network Monitoring System leveraging existing tools in order to maintain and track Network’s important metrics.  
• Performs ongoing Network fine tuning, upgrades and enhances to optimize Network performance, availability, stability and security.
• Responsible for performing frequent Network Trending & Analysis and make recommendations and changes accordingly to maximize performance and minimize costs and exceed Customer Expectations.  

Required Job Qualifications:

• Experience in a very wide range of leading edge and traditional network and IP Telephony technologies. Wide breadth of hands-on networking and project management skill.
• Experience working in a client-oriented, professional services environment preferred. Must be available for on-call rotation.
• Some travel required between corporate site and clients sites.
• Demonstrated leadership skills; inspire and energize others with a lead-by-example approach.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collectively with the team and all associates.
• Ability to work collectively with clients.

Desired Job Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of networking experience and BS degree.
• Solid working knowledge of Active Directory, IIS, back up software and network attached storage
• Certifications in: Cisco * CCNA or CCDP is a must
• Cisco Switch, Router and Load Balancing Equipment, Cisco Pix Firewall, Cisco VPN Concentrator, Cicso Call Manager and knowledge of Managed Services environment, highly desirable.
